Paint can be applied to a surface by a variety of methods and devices. Application by brush is the familiar and traditional one which has not yet been out-classed for general convenience and simplicity for many applications, particularly in the decorative field. Other techniques and apparatus have been developed throughout the years to meet the needs of industrial production in respect of economy of time and labour and of efficiency of coating where manufactured objects of complicated structure are concerned.
