Possible cause:

(a) Contamination, failure to remove foreign materials in or on the surface before painting, wax. silicone, oil, water, rust, solder flux, tallow, soap, detergent, stearate powders from abrasive paper or discs. Flatting residues, engine exhaust products etc.

(b) Low film thickness of paint.

(c) Poor substrate, poorly weathered, dry sprayed or overspray.

(d) Incorrect undercoat or thinner.

(e) Excessive baking.

Rectification requires removal of suspect film and repainting in approved system.
