Possible causes:

(a) Sinkage of topcoat or undercoat due to solvent loss pulling down dried film. Poor spray booth extraction, or lack of air movement. High film thickness, slow solvent, low temperature, high humidity.

(b) Overspray drying and landing back onto the finish, over atomization, high air pressure, low viscosity, warm conditions, poor air movement, poor spraying technique.

(c) Underspray - overspray drying before full coat is applied to surface.

(d) Foul atmosphere from exhaust or incorrect burner gasses entering booth.
