Coating based on two resins that are reactive at room temperature, therefore supplied in separate containers and only mixed together in the required quantities immediately before use. The reaction is promoted by means of a catalyst present in one of the component resins. The applied film reactions speed is dependent upon ambient conditions and may be speeded up by baking and when cured is resistant to solvents.
The mixed paint will show a viscosity rise in the pot until it becomes unusable, eventually forming a gell. This forms the basis of the CT and CAR Refinish two packs using acrylic/ insocyanate materials.
